Snapshots - Farewell 2012

Did I tell you that I got job? No? No, I didn't. It's because after eight months of unemployment, I'm paranoid and I was waiting for it to fall through at the last minute. Buuut it didn't, so today marked my first day back in the real world (aka: the paid workforce) *high-five*

I'll be working as a part-time Executive Assistant and I couldn't be happier. A reason to shower & get out of my yoga pants? Actual professional adults to converse with? Projects that challenge me? And I still get to hang out with my kid three days a week and every afternoon/evening? That's gold right there folks. (But I wouldn't mind if everyone sent me positive vibes and kept their fingers crossed for me, after all, it was only day one)

Other than getting this work business straightened out, life has been pretty mellow. There was a quiet Christmas, a New Years Eve full of video games & paper crowns, a fair amount of crafts, and quite a lot of reading crammed in for good measure. I even treated myself to a dress from Anthropologie (sale), because I'm fancy (and cheap) like that.




 

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that 2013 is shaping up to be a good year -- but I reserve the right to revoke said statement at any time!
