So yeah, I use a lot of candles and oils.
So when I was contacted by Diamond Candles about doing a product review and a giveaway, I was skeptical but excited. This would be my first sponsored review, so I wanted to make sure I did it right and in a way I was 100% comfortable with -- So I did some research and then jumped at the opportunity.
Once I ordered my candle, it only took a few days to receive my order. Obviously, I ripped the box open and did an internal happy dance before taking a few photos and lighting it up for the first time.
Overall, the candle is lovely. It's 100% soy & Eco-friendly and looks like it'll last be awhile. I burned it for over 7 hours the first two days and it only went down about a half an inch.
The scent I ordered was Orange Vanilla and it smells just like orange creamsicle, so it was a winner right off the bat. My only criticism? I wish the scent it dispersed was stronger. Granted, I set it up in our living room, which is a decently sized space, but still. I like my candles strong -- to cover up the stinky dude/cat smell.
So where did it end up? Snuggled up (ok ok, a safe distance away from) next to one of our precious At-Ats. You all knew I was a nerd, so don't act all surprised.
Anyway, did I mention how in every candle there's a ring? Yeah, I thought it was kind of weird at first too, but I'm all for jewelry, so I just went with it. When you add it to an already awesome candle, there really is no downside.
I was sure I would be super cool -- I would wait for the candle to burn down far enough that I could quickly pop the ring bag out of the wet wax. I was going to be cool. That didn't happen.
I burned the candle for 3 or 4 hours and then went at it with a few popsicle sticks (the husband would have been pretty upset if I used any of his pliers and I wasn't going to touch it with my tweezers). As you can see, the ring is nice and safe wrapped up in some technical term for fancy tinfoil and then wrapped in a wee plastic pouch. Save, sound, and wax free.
I have to say that the ring isn't really my style, but it'll make one of my nieces a very happy little girl (since it isn't one of the rings worth the big bucks).
So I have I convinced you yet? Good! Now you can try your hand at winning a candle of your own (a $24.95 value)!
When the giveaway ends, I will contact the winner with details on how to claim their awesome new candle. In the meantime, you can check them out on Instagram or Facebook.
